National Book Store cordially invites you to the Chicken Soup for the Soul: Christmas Magic book launch on November 3, 2010, 5 pm, at National Book Store Shangri-la Plaza Mall.
Chicken Soup for the Soul features 101 holiday stories that spread the special joy, wonder, and blessings of the season. These include stories of finding the perfect Christmas tree, being with family, seeing the awe in a child’s eyes, and enjoying the magic of the season. Included in the book is a story entitled “My First Noel” by Filipina writer Nyx Martinez about spending Christmas with the Ik tribe in northern Uganda, East Africa.
Nyx Martinez is the managing editor of Mabuhay magazine, the in-flight magazine of the Philippine Airlines. She hosts a travel show on Living Asia Channel and runs the FunDaytion, an outreach project for terminally ill children.
