Common Sport-Related Injuries and How to Fix ‘Em. Essentially, it’ll be like a first aid/first responder situation wherein you can become your own paramedic-of-sorts. We’ll throw around various situations like:
-Differentiating Heat Exhaustion from Heat Stroke from Heat Cramps (commonly seen in most outdoor sports like running and cycling)
and how to treat them
-The above might be a great segue to addressing dehydration and maintaining water-electrolyte balance–this is if your other guest, Noelle, doesn’t cover this in her running topic
-The importance of stretching and which type comes first- dynamic or static stretching before working out or doing sports
-Treating sprains and strains and the importance of P.R.I.C.E.
-How to treat “Epistaxis” aka “nosebleed”
-What to do during when someone gets struck by lightning (sounds silly but it could actually happen)
-What to do when someone gets a bad allergic reaction and also goes into an “anaphylactic shock.” I.e. bee stings, venomous bug bites
-Putting together a first aid kit/a list of emergency hotlines
-Signing up for a CPR/AED class

Bizarre World Sex Records
World’s Most Prolific Mother (69 babies)
Feodor Vassilyev (1707-1782), was a peasant from Shuya, Russia. Though not noteworthy himself, his first wife, Valentina Vassilyeva, set the record for most children birthed by a single woman. She gave birth to total of 69 children; however, few other details are known of her life, such as her date of birth or death. She gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 births. 67 of the 69 children born survived infancy. The modern world record for giving birth is held by Leontina Albina from San Antonio, Chile. Now in her mid-sixties, she claims to be the mother of 64 children. Of these, 55 are documented. The mother with the greatest number of kids that are not tiwns is Livia Ionce. This Romanian woman, 44, gave birth to her 18th child in Canada in 2008.

Fact or Fiction
A hairy swimmer will be slower in the water than a clean shaven swimmer.
FACT
It’s an idea as slick as sea creatures: Could hair slow a swimmer’s pace? A 1988 study supported the athletic benefits of being hairless. For swimmers, removing body hair decreases drag while moving through the water.
This means swimmers who get friendly with a razor before each race go farther and faster with each stroke..

Moment of Zen
The first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence, the second listening, the third memory, the fourth practice, the fifth teaching others.
