This is one of my favorite commercials of all time. It’s very inspiring and always moves me, no matter how many times I see it. I thought of it since i just talked about challenging the norms in my recent post “The Rebel Within“.
Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits.
The rebels.
The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They push the human race forward.
And while some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world…
The Dockers brand, usually known for their line of Khakis, is unveiling a new campaign to empower the men in today’s world.
They are asking the REAL MEN to put the pants back on. It sounds pretty cool right….. WRONG!
I’m sure there are lots of men out there who are fiercely offended by this statement! I mean really…. does wearing the pants really represent masculinity?
I present to you proof that Pants ≠ Manliness
—–
Batman wears no pants… he wears tights
You can’t mess with the Bat! He’ll use his detective skills to find you, use his utility belt to pull some fancy tricks on you, then give you a Batarang straight to your face! Oh, and who else drives a cooler car than the Batmobile?!?! See, just tights, no pants, but totally an Man’s MAN!

BraveHeart wears no pants… he wears a skirt kilt
Not only does Braveheart fight for freedom, but he’s definitely an advocate of freeballin! Ain’t no one messin’ with this plad wearing diva! They can take our pants, but they can never take our freedom to commando!

Chuck Norris wears no pants… pants cannot withstand his roundhouse kick
The legend himself has yet to find a pair of pants that can contain his nuclear powered roundhouse kick. It is said that only one pair of pants has been able to survive a Chuck Norris Roundhouse kick and live to tell the tale. That pair of pants is now displayed in the same museum as Superman’s strand of hair (as seen in Superman IV – The Quest for Peace) (oh and yeah, Superman wears no pants neither…. he’s in tights too!)

Either way, it’s a cool campaign from Dockers. There was even a commercial that aired during the SuperBowl.
“Dockers I wear no Pants SuperBowl ad”
Below are some pics from the Dockers event at the Manila Yacht Club. Get yourself a pair of Dockers in case you’re not into the Batman Tights, Braveheart Kilts or Chuck Norris Shorts.
