Einstein’s Theory of Relativity

Deals with the perception of time and distance by observers in different frames of reference which are moving with respect to each other. An observer in one frame perceives that time is slower and distances are shorter in a different frame.

Also postulates that the speed of light is perceived to be the same in every frame of reference, and that no form of matter or energy can travel faster than light.

A theory by a man called Albert Einstein (with a crazy hairstylist) which clearly defines :
0. E = MC^2, thats E for energy, M for mass and C for speed of light!
1. No matter can excede the speed of light
2. Speed of light is constant for all, irrespective of their motion.
3. You can not go back in time and have sex with elvis or anyone for that matter!

Fact or Fiction

If you fire a bullet into a car’s gas tank, the car will explode.

FICTION

Don’t believe everything you see in the movies. Cars practically spontaneously combust on the big screen, but in real life it takes a very specific set of circumstances for a car to turn into a ball of flames.

In order for a car’s fuel tank to catch fire, it would have to rupture in such a way that the gas sprays out in a fine mist at a concentration of 0.8 to 6 percent gasoline vapor in the air and come into contact with an ignition source. Since gas tanks are pretty well protected, and the ignition is at the other end of the car, this is pretty darn unlikely.

To further contradict the world of movie physics, bullets do not spark, so while a bullet can make an unsightly hole in the side of the car and an annoying leak in the fuel tank, it will not cause the vehicle to instantly explode.

Reason to party today – coz it’s happy hour somewhere in the world.
