Cool stuff about today, November 13.

Recap of my show, “Gspot Radio” on Mellow 94.7

Today is “World Kindness Day” so make an extra effort to be kind to someone today, it has a positive ripple effect w/ no foreseeable end

Reason to party today – coz it’s happy hour somewhere in the world.

World Kindness Day

Nov 13. The Kindness Movement has gone global! The World Kindness Movement grew out of a series of Kindness Conferences convened by the Japanese Small Kindness Movement in 1996. The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, USA, has been a part of these conferences along with representatives from Japan, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Thailand and England. This day represents the pledge of each of these countries to join together to build a kinder and more compassionate world.

On this day

1789 Benjamin Franklin wrote in a letter to a friend, “In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.”
1942 The minimum draft age was lowered from 21 to 18.
1997 The Disney musical “The Lion King” opened on Broadway.
1998 President Bill Clinton agreed to pay Paula Jones $850,000, ending the four-year legal battle over her sexual harassment lawsuit that spurred impeachment proceedings against him. Clinton did not admit guilt.
2002 Saddam Hussein’s government agreed to the return of international weapons inspectors to Iraq.
2003 Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who had refused to remove a granite Ten Commandments monument from the state courthouse, was thrown off the bench by a judicial ethics panel for having “placed himself above the law.”

Moment of Zen

For what it’s worth, it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit… start whenever you want… you can change or stay the same. I hope you live a life that you’re proud of and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.” – Benjamin Button

Thanks for listening to “The G-Spot”

Hope it was good for you too…
